Logan Cobras Junior AFL Club.

Sign-on weekend.

Is scheduled for Saturday 9 & Sunday 10 February 2008 between 10am and 2pm at the clubhouse.

Please note that any new players will need to bring a birth certificate or other proof of age.

The Cobras will Kick Off the Auskick 2008 season on Friday Feb 15 and will finish on the 18th April.
This years Coordinator is Ben Maxfield.

The Logan Cobras under 18’s will commence training for the 2008 season on Wednesday, 7 November 2007 with an information session, light training run and a sausage sizzle. All invited players, and any others interested, should attend for a 6pm start. Bring a mate!!

At the Annual General meeting on 28 October 2007 the committee for 2008 was elected. Appointments for 2008 are:

Vice President - John Newcombe
Secretary - Deb Brown
Registrar - Tania Bennett
First aid coordinator - Cassie Thomas
Coaching coordinator - Iain Reed
Website/Media Manager - John Balm
General Committee - Wade Thomas, Christine Machielsen, Tammy Locke

John Cream will assume the duties of Treasurer while a search for a permanent appointment continues. The first committee meeting for the new season is 12 November 2007 @ 6.30pm in the clubhouse.

The club Annual General Meeting will be held at the Tansey Park clubrooms on Sunday, 28 October 2007 at 10am.

Five Cobras players have been selected to represent SEQ in the Under 16 Girls State Development Championships to be held in Cairns on 2-4 November.

Congratulations to Rhiannon Brookes, Emma Cream, Alicia Machielsen, Peta Pregelj and Shanee Trabucco on their selection. The girls will train at Coorparoo on Monday evenings through-out October to prepare for the Championships.

The youth football trophy winners for 2007 were announced at the club awards presentation night on 21 September.

Don’t forget!!! - The Logan Cobras Junior AFC awards presentation night is on Friday, 21 September 2007.

The evening commences at 6.30pm and will start with the under 8’s awards then progress through the age groups to a 10pm finish. Drinks available at club bar prices and nibblies will be provided.
